While tanning is considered a safe method of bronzing your complexion it is important to know your skin type before choosing your preferred tanning method.  One good example of this; is people with skin type one (1) have very light features such as red hair and pale skin color and are sensitive to light.  Persons that fall into this category tend to burn easily.  However, persons with type four (4) can handle sunlight better and rarely burn.  You will find these persons originating from Mediterranean countries such as Italy and Greece.

It is very important to follow the guidelines outlined below prior to starting your tannings experience;

  • Take a shower and exfoliate.tanning melanotin 150x150 - Tanning - the guidelines
  • Apply tanning lotion.
  • Wear protective gear such as eye goggles.
  • DO NOT BURN.
  • Use a tan extender after tanning this is important to condition your skin after tanning.
  • Be responsible, do not tan excessively.

Another important factor to note is there are various levels of tanning beds offered by tanning salons.  These beds range from level 1 to even level 6.  It is very important to have a consultation with your tanning provider to determine which level is best for your skin type.  All tanning beds offer a certain level of UVB and UVA rays that can be increased.  If you are a first time tanner, it is recommended that you start off with a level 1 or 2 tanning bed and with peptides usa like pt-141 (pt141)

It is recommended, that in order to maintain or build a tan that forty-eight (48) hours should elapse between tanning sessions however, it is important to moisturize your skin to ensure that it is hydrated.  Things such as hot showers, harsh soaps and indoor heating have been associated with causing your tan to fade quickly, so avoid these conditions to prolong your tan.   Having said all the above, the best advise that I can impart to you is to ensure that your research the tanning salon and ask for referrals prior to your tanning session. Do not be afraid to ask questions and always remember “your body, your responsibility” till next time.
